Facilitator
Mon/Tue/Wed/Fri 8.30am-3.30pm | Term Time Only | Burghfield Common
As a Facilitator, you'll spend your days alongside our young people — getting to know them, discovering what matters to them and creating opportunities for connection, curiosity and new experiences. One moment you might be baking, crafting or playing a board game; the next you could be outside building something, supporting a difficult moment, making a hot chocolate or simply sitting alongside a young person who needs some quiet company.
Our environment is neuroaffirming, relationship-led and self-directed. That means we don't expect young people to fit around us. We stay curious about what behaviour is communicating, adapt our approach, offer co-regulation and recognise that feeling safe and understood comes before everything else.
You don't need to have all the answers. We value people who are warm, calm, playful, curious and reflective. You'll need to work collaboratively, communicate openly and be willing to muck in with all aspects of life at Wildflower.

Could you bring something special to our community?
We're always interested in hearing from kind, enthusiastic people who would like to volunteer their time at Wildflower Meadows.
Our volunteers can bring so much to our community. You might have a particular skill or passion you'd love to share — gardening, cooking, art, crafts, music, woodwork, nature, games or something completely different — or you may simply enjoy spending time with young people and want to be part of what we do.
You don't need to be a teacher. In fact, we're much more interested in people who understand that young people thrive when they feel safe, accepted and able to be themselves.
Volunteering at Wildflower might involve supporting activities, sharing an interest or skill, helping us care for our environment, or simply being another safe and consistent adult within our community.
Who are we looking for?
We're particularly interested in people who are:
Warm, patient and genuinely interested in young people
Comfortable with our neuroaffirming and self-directed approach
Reliable and able to offer some consistency
Curious rather than judgemental
Happy to get involved and bring their own interests and personality to Wildflower
As our volunteers spend time around children and young people, all opportunities are subject to our safer recruitment and safeguarding requirements, including an Enhanced DBS check and appropriate references.

Recruitment is carried out in line with our Safer Recruitment Policy and the statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE). All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and pre-employment checks.
