A Space Where Every Child Feels Safe, Valued, and Free to Grow

We know how hard it is to watch a child struggle in an environment that doesn’t fit. Whether they have felt overwhelmed, anxious, or simply disconnected, we understand that every child deserves a place where they can flourish in their own way. As parents and experienced professionals, we created Wildflower Meadows to be a calm, nurturing space where children can feel safe, build confidence, and rediscover their sense of curiosity and joy.

Our Ethos

We believe in connection before expectation. Many of the children who join us need time, patience, and understanding to rebuild trust. Here, they are met with warmth, gentle guidance, and a personalised approach that allows them to explore at their own pace.

We offer a child-led, nature-based approach where children engage in hands-on experiences that encourage independence, creativity, and emotional well-being. Whether it’s cooking, crafting, gardening, exploring the woodland, or simply spending quiet time in a safe environment, every moment at Wildflower Meadows is designed to support confidence, resilience, and personal growth.

We recognise that families need support, too. When a child struggles, the whole family feels it. That’s why Wildflower Meadows isn’t just about the children—it’s about creating a community for parents and carers. In the future, we plan to offer family sessions, workshops, and a supportive network where you can connect with others who truly understand the journey.

  • Since my child started wildflower I have seen him flourish. His goals were to be excited for learning, feel safe and make friends. In a very short time all three of his goals have been achieved. This is huge for him and for myself as mum. The struggles we have seen with attachment, trauma from the wrong setting previously had significant impacts that left me at the point of breakdown as a parent. For the first time in as long as I can remember I feel we have turned a corner and without the support of the wildflower team I know I wouldn’t be saying that now. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You saw, you listened and we are winning in making my boy safe, happy and heard

  • I wish this sort of provision had been available sooner; it meets the needs of those children who do not fit the mould. The vibe is always so positive and relaxed when I collect my child, and they are keen to share what they have been doing that day.

  • Wildflower Meadows is an amazing alternative provision for those who find school inaccessible. My son has been attending since it opened as he hadn't been able to access to any form of education for 2.5 years. The team have made him feel safe and secure and he is happy to attend. The setting takes his lead when it comes to his needs and interests, and tries to provide resources that he wants to use and play with. They are great at keeping parents informed and are always there if you need any advice. Can’t praise them enough.

  • In a short time Wildflower Meadows has transformed my daughter’s relationship with the world around her. She had been unable to access anything other than Occupational Therapy for a year, was stressed, withdrawn and lonely. Now, she looks forward to every session, talks about the friends she’s made and the activities she’s taken part in. School trauma had made her very weary of adults but the staff at wildflower meadows were so calm, patient and accepting. She trusts them with all her emotions and knows that they can help her through difficult ones. As a parent I now look to the future so differently, if this is what the right place can do in so little time whose to say that in time my daughter won’t be able to access more education, courses, enrichment. Thank you to the whole team.
